Is All American new tonight on The CW? Season 2 episode 9 promo
Let’s go ahead and get the bad news out of the way right now: There is no new installment coming on the network tonight. Crisis on Infinite Earths is airing and that is, fundamentally, taking up a huge chunk of the network’s promotional power. We are going to have new episodes coming in 2020, and that is the silver lining within all of this! The question there just comes mostly in how the story will shape itself when it returns.
Just judging from the promo below, the Tyrone situation is going to take center stage. Sure, the network isn’t giving you a lot to cling to, but it does seem like the All American brand of compelling character drama is going to continue. Think in terms of more relationships, surprises, heartbreak, and everything that comes being young and trying to figure out the future. Because of the episode extension the show was given earlier this fall (thanks, positive ratings!), there are going to be more opportunities than ever before to watch some twists and turns.
If there is one big question that’s worth wondering at present, though, it’s this — is this a show really about football anymore? Given Spencer’s decision recently, you can make an argument that we’re drifting far from the show’s overall original premise.
The one last thing that we’ll note here in this piece is simply this: If you love the show, be sure to keep watching live! This is the best way in order to ensure that there is a season 3. It may be convenient to wait for episodes to arrive on a streaming platform, but that doesn’t always make it best overall for the future.
