Following today’s big and super-dangerous episode on ABC, do you want to know The Rookie season 2 episode 11 return date? We’ve got more news on that, plus also some other insight on the show’s long-term future.
Here is the bad news — you may be waiting for a while in order to see Nathan Fillion and the rest of the cast back on television. There is no new episode the rest of the year but, more than that, there’s also not a new episode early next year, either. Why? It seems as though ABC doesn’t want to bother putting the series on at a time in which the NFL is airing playoff games and when the Oscars, Golden Globes, and also Grammys are all going on.
Let’s just say this — January and February are rough months to be a Sunday-night TV series. There are reasons why certain networks may opt to sit things out.
Based on the official ABC midseason schedule, we’ve learned that the next new episode of The Rookie on ABC is going to air come Sunday, February 23. It’s two weeks after the Oscars, and then also one week after getting a chance to see American Idol return to the air. We’re sure that we’ll see a whole lot of action, some serious drama, and also some more quality character development. After tonight’s crazy serial-killer story, we’re sure that the writers are aware of just how high some of the stakes are.
So what are the chances for a season 3 of The Rookie at the moment? Let’s just say that we’re cautiously optimistic at the moment. This is a series that is improving ABC’s timeslot year to year and, in the end, we like to think that matters. We also have a feeling that there are so many more stories that are left in the tank as we continue to watch the latest adventures of John Nolan.
