Outlander season 5 sneak peek coming to Starz soon — find out when
Today, the network confirmed that during the upcoming Starz “Page to Screen” weekend on December 15, there will be an exclusive sneak peek clip that airs — one that basically amounts to the first four minutes of the season 5 premiere. This will air at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, following by the latest episode of Dublin Murders. It’s not clear at present if this preview will make its way eventually to all fans online, but it’s definitely something to have on your radar if you are a big-time Outlander viewer.
For those wondering, on December 15 Starz will also air the first three episodes of season 1 of Outlander, followed by the first five episodes of Dublin Murders. Then, you get the exclusive season 5 clip, and then more Dublin Murders.
So what could this clip contain? If we had to guess, we’d suggest that it may contain a few different hints about the new life that Jamie, Claire, Roger, and Brianna are building for themselves. They’ve all found a way to survive the madness of season 4, and Roger and Bree also now have baby Jemmy to take care of! There are a lot of challenges still ahead, though, as the threat of the Revolutionary War looms and there is a debt that Jamie may be forced to re-pay. Resolving this crisis, which involves now both Governor Tryon and also Murtagh, should be at the forefront of everything.
What the timing of this clip also tells us is that, more than likely, we’re probably not going to be getting a full trailer for Outlander season 5 at any point between now and mid-December. It may not even be until early 2020, depending on when Starz wants to begin their big-time promotional push in earnest.
