Survivor: Island of the Idols episode 12: Could Tommy turn on Lauren?

Survivor: Island of the IdolsNext week on Survivor: Island of the Idols episode 12, there’s going to be a lot of crazy stuff that unravels. How can it not based on what we saw tonight? Dean ruined a potentially-great plan to get rid of Tommy, Noura spoke out a lot in response to getting caught, and effectively, she almost got herself played out of the game.

Instead, what ended up happening was Karishma got voted out of the game — kind of a bummer end for what was a thoroughly exciting episode leading up to it. Perhaps one of the craziest things about this entire episode is that we went through everything just to get rid of the obvious person entering this episode. Also, do these people honestly want Tommy to win at this point? We’re starting to think so.

This was thoroughly entertaining, but at the same time, kind of a ridiculous episode of TV. Dean’s made it so much harder on himself to win the game going forward with Tommy, who is always going to be more loyal to Lauren than he is her. Tommy’s got the inside track now alongside Lauren, and we’re curious to see if anyone can figure out a good move to make at this point.

In the preview for what’s coming up, one of the things that we saw that could be very interesting is Tom considering getting out Lauren. We wouldn’t do it yet, but it’s something that we’d have on our radar.

Remember this in the end — there’s only one more episode to go until we get around to the finale. Let’s hope that there is a few big flourishes near the end — that way, we’re still shocked by the result!
