Nancy Drew episode 9 spoilers: Winter finale expectations

Next week, Nancy Drew episode 9 is arriving and with that, we say goodbye to the series for the calendar year. This marks the winter finale for the Kennedy McMann-led mystery series, and we have to say that overall, it’s done a nice job of bringing a lot of great twists and turns to the table. Also, we’re thinking that there is some sort of big-time cliffhanger looming underneath the surface here. While we haven’t seen that much in the way of episodes to know for sure that the writers will go in this direction, it just feels like the most likely course of action.

So what’s at the center for this episode? Think in terms of a case that will have some similarities from Nancy’s origins in the problem-solving business. It’s a chance to learn a little bit more about the past, but also set the course for the future.

WINTER FINALE – In our winter finale, Nancy (Kennedy McMann) and the Drew Crew desperately search for George’s (Leah Lewis) missing sister, Ted (guest star Ariah Lee), whose kidnapping eerily mirrors the investigation that started Nancy’s sleuthing career. Meanwhile, while revisiting the trauma of her past, as a means to solving the present-day mystery, Nancy finally reconnects with her father just as an escalation in the Lucy Sable investigation threatens to separate them forever. Scott Wolf, Maddison Jaizani, Tunji Kasim, Alex Saxon, Riley Smith and Alvina August also star. Shannon Kohli directed the episode written by Melinda Hsu Taylor (#109). Original airdate 12/11/2019. We would be surprised if every single part of this story is resolved — and for the time being, we’re just hoping that there are going to be some chances to have our jaw hit the ground. Isn’t that what watching a series like this is really all about?
