Is The Conners new tonight on ABC? Within this article, we’re definitely taking on that subject … but then also looking towards the future.
If you’ve taken a gander at the network’s schedule at the moment, then you know already that the show is off the air. What’s the reason for that? Look towards a Brad Paisley-led holiday special, one that may provide some merriment … but not the same sort that you’re going to see from the likes of Jackie, Dan, or Becky. ABC is trying to stretch The Conners out throughout the year, which is nice in some ways but also frustrating in others. There have been a lot of breaks so far this season, and maybe that’s making it rather difficult for viewers to know when it’s on/off the air. (It may also have a slight impact on the ratings — the last episode following a hiatus in early November drew the lowest 18-49 rating of the season.)
At least this particular hiatus isn’t going to be a long one. The Conners is going to be coming back onto the network come next week, and this will be a holiday episode. In some ways, maybe it’s better that it airs a little bit closer to Christmas! If nothing else, that gives the series more opportunities to spread some holiday cheer.
Want to know a few more details all about what you can expect when the story airs? Then view the episode description below, if you haven’t already:
“Smoking Penguins and Santa on Santa Action” – Dan is disappointed when everyone but Becky forgets about his birthday. Meanwhile, Darlene and Ben face an issue at work, and Dan takes advantage of the family Christmas Santa photo to force Jackie to befriend Louise on the fall finale of “The Conners,” TUESDAY, DEC. 10 (8:00-8:30 p.m. EST), on ABC. Episodes can also be viewed the next day on ABC.com, the ABC app and Hulu.
After this episode, The Conners will not return with more until 2020. Yep, there is another hiatus coming.
