Is FBI new tonight on CBS? A look at the story to come

FBI

Is FBI new tonight on CBS? Within this article, we’re going to come bearing more news on that, plus some other details on what to expect.

For now, though, let’s go ahead and hand down the bad news — there is no installment coming up, just like there is no episode of either NCIS or NCIS: New Orleans around it. These are three shows that are currently in lockstep insofar as scheduling goes, and it makes sense for them to continue to benefit from one another’s ratings. Things will change slightly in the new year, when we are going to be seeing FBI followed by its FBI: Most Wanted spin-off and NCIS: New Orleans moves to Sunday night.

While you wait for that moment to come, though, there are a number of things to be excited for when FBI returns to the air on December 17. “Ties That Bind” is the last installment of the calendar year and there are going to be a lot of different issues on the docket for the team to take on. Not only that, but we’re also going to see some personal storytelling around Kristen as she tries to go through a training exercise with some unexpected results.

If you haven’t seen it already, CarterMatt has some more details all about what’s coming up next.

“Ties that Bind” – A former kidnapping victim is linked to a series of murders that includes the daughter of an NYPD detective. Also, Kristen begins to doubt her ability as an agent after a training exercise leaves her shaken, on FBI, Tuesday, Dec. 17 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

While it’d be exciting if there is some sort of big cliffhanger at the end of this episode, we don’t come into this bearing super-high hopes. Instead, we’re simply crossing our fingers and hoping that this is just an emotionally impactful story, one that reminds us what makes FBI so great while we prepare for a long hiatus.
