Batwoman episode 9 spoilers, winter return date hopes

Batwoman

Want to know some of the first details regarding Batwoman episode 9? We’ve got those within, but also a reminder that things are about to get complicated.

Odds are, you’ve heard a few different things already about Crisis on Infinite Earths, starting with the fact that this is one of the most epic crossovers ever attempted. It’s exciting, daring, and it should prove fun to watch unfold. We should also go ahead and tell you this now — the Batwoman part of it isn’t going to air in its normal timeslot. Rather, episode 9 is going to be coming your way on Monday, December 9 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. It’s going to be a strange episode, especially since it may not even feel in some ways like Batwoman at all. It’s a much larger universe, but there is a very recognizable Batman name in here in Kevin Conroy, who will be playing a version of Bruce Wayne. You may know Kevin best from his voiceover work as Batman for various animated programs.

Oh, and this is also going to be Part 2 of the crossover. Supergirl will kick things off on Sunday.

Below, you can view the full Batwoman episode 9 synopsis in earnest.

CAN THE REAL CLARK KENT PLEASE STAND UP? PART TWO OF CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS CONTINUES WITH SPECIAL GUEST STARS TOM WELLING, ERICA DURANCE AND KEVIN CONROY – The group uses Ray’s (guest star Brandon Routh) invention to track new recruits to help save the universe. The Monitor (guest star LaMonica Garrett) sends Iris (guest star Candice Patton), Clark (guest star Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois (guest star Elizabeth Tulloch) in search of a mysterious Kryptonian, while Kate (Ruby Rose) and Kara (guest star Melissa Benoist) head out to find Bruce Wayne (guest star Kevin Conroy). In addition, Mia (guest star Katherine McNamara) challenges Sara (guest star Caity Lotz), Rory (guest star Dominic Purcell) discovers a hidden talent, and Lex Luthor (guest star Jon Cryer) returns. Laura Belsey directed the episode written by Don Whitehead and Holly Henderson (#108). Original airdate 12/9/2019. Every episode of BATWOMAN will be available to stream on CWTV.com and The CW App the day after broadcast for free and without a subscription, log-in or authentication required.

Following this episode, Batwoman will be off the air until 2020 — there’s no specific return date beyond mid-January (when Crisis on Infinite Earths is going to air). Don’t be shocked, though, if there are not many new episodes until mid-February, after we get to the other side of the Super Bowl and some various awards shows. The CW doesn’t want to compete against that sort of stuff.
