Outlander convention notes: Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, & more

While this may be a relatively low-activity TV weekend here in the United States, it’s far from that over in France … at least if you’re an Outlander fan. After all, this weekend marks The Land Con 3, a convention that features the bulk of the main cast as well as panels, photo ops, and more. It’s basically one of the coolest things imaginable for any fan of the show in France.

Also, we have to imagine that this was a lovely little trip for everyone to make after spending the past several months filming in Scotland! It’s almost a nice mini-vacation to take in some of the sights of the city — at least once you are through meeting fans and having a good time here. Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton, Richard Rankin, and Caitriona Balfe make up just a piece of the people in attendance.

While it’s hard to replicate fully the experience of being at a convention like this in article form, we can at least present a thread to you HERE that offers up a good sense of it! It shows you signings, photo ops, and a few different things from the convention.

It seems like a good time was had by many! We imagine that for the cast, it has to be a unique experience to be surrounded by people who know and love the show so well. It’s also one of the few chances you have to really interact with them individually. Sure, there are other big conventions like New York Comic-Con, but we imagine that ones like this are a bit more focused and intimate. Also, there are very few conventions in general where this many of the show’s cast are all in the same place.
