Is Magnum PI new tonight over on CBS? Within this article, we come bearing some more news on that … but then also look towards the future of this series.
Let’s start, though, by getting some of the bad news out of the way: There is no new installment coming on CBS tonight. It’s Black Friday, for starters, and the entirety of the network lineup is off the air. They’re not going to throw the Jay Hernandez series to the wolves and to potentially low ratings. The show will return next week and, beyond that, there is still going to be another episode after that! There are, at least, two more episodes to come through the end of the year.
So what can you expect through those? Think in terms of a lot of emotional material. For starters, Magnum may be forced to resume his military career, and it’s coming at around the same time that some of his past plays a big role in a different case. While this is a show that often does deliver a lot of comedy, we’re gearing up for a big chunk of drama entering the end of the year.
For some additional insight, if you haven’t seen it already, be sure to check out the attached synopses below:
December 2 episode 10, December 6 – “Blood Brothers” – Magnum, flooded with memories of his tour in Afghanistan, helps his fallen friend’s brother search for a now-grown Afghan boy who may have been a victim of trafficking, on MAGNUM P.I., Friday, Dec. 6 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Season 2 episode 11, December 13 – “Day I Met the Devil” – Magnum is called up from the reserves for a top secret mission, but his friends are stunned when they learn that the mission is a lie and Magnum has been set up, on MAGNUM P.I., Friday, Dec. 13 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Of course, don’t forget that beyond this, there is a big crossover with Hawaii Five-0 coming in January! Even if there is no new episode tonight, there is definitely a lot to look forward to moving forward.
