Supergirl season 5 episode 8 spoilers: Can Kara repair things with Lena?
Take, for starters, setting the stage for the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event — though when you compare this to the Earth-1 shows in Arrow and The Flash, it isn’t generating anywhere near as much story there. Supergirl has been biding its time a little bit more on Crisis, and we have to believe that it will build towards it somehow on Sunday’s episode.
To go along with this, though, there are some other issues that need to be dealt with — including the severed relationship between Kara Danvers and Lena Luthor. That is the focus of the new sneak peek below. In this video, you can see Kara having a conversation with Alex and Brainy that includes a few key revelations — most notably, Kara cluing them in on what Lex told Lena at the end of season 4. She lets them in fully on what’s gone on and the issues that are at hand with Khan and otherwise.
Obviously, getting Lena and Kara on the same page is important emotionally — this is one of the show’s greatest friendships and because of that, it’s one that we are excited to see explored further in a positive light. Beyond just that, though, it’s also one of the most important relationships entering the crossover. We know that Lex will be back, just as we also know that the Monitor is going to need every resource possible in order to save the multiverse. With that in mind, we have to imagine that he’s going to need Kara and Lena on the same page. If they can combine their skills and abilities, that makes us hopeful for the future.
