Let’s not beat around the bush here and share the bad news — there is no new episode of the series tonight! What’s the reason for that? Well, it has a LOT to do with the fact that it’s Thanksgiving! This is not a time where it makes sense for networks to program a lot of original programming, given the many viewers are spending time with family. Many of them aren’t even at home! Also, we’re not sure that crying during A Million Little Things is the sort of activity viewers want to do on Thanksgiving … though we do think a healthy cry here and there is a good thing. This is a show that makes you feel just about every emotion possible, and we have a hard time thinking that’s going to change in the future.
Be prepared to see A Million Little Things back on the air in January and when that happens, it will be in a new timeslot. Think in terms of 10:00 p.m. Eastern time. It will still be airing after Grey’s Anatomy, but just in a slightly later time.
As for the story moving forward, we think that there’s still going to be a lot of relationship upheaval, and also some other big surprises. We’ve went through a lot with PJ in particular this season, so we hope that there’s some more peace for him. Meanwhile, Gary and Maggie are facing a complicated future and we want to be there for them, every step of the way. We don’t think that A Million Little Things needs to change much in order to be great — just be the same show that it’s been for most of the past year and a half.
