Is Nancy Drew new tonight on The CW? The mystery show’s future

Nancy Drew

Is Nancy Drew new tonight on The CW? We know that you’re going to be hungry for more mysteries, so we’ll answer that question within.

Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee that the answer is going to be one you’re altogether happy with. After all, it just so turns out that the series is not going to be airing new episodes, with the simple reason for it being that this is the day before Thanksgiving and The CW doesn’t want to run the risk of losing viewers. We don’t like the idea of not getting more stories for the time being, but it makes sense. they have to protect their investment, especially for a new show that is still in the process of trying to discover its audience.

So while you do wait to see what lies ahead on Wednesday, December 4, we want to do our best to help get you excited! With that in mind, we’ve got details on a couple of different upcoming stories below.

Episode 8, “The Path Of Shadows” (December 4) – DETOURS – Nancy (Kennedy McMann) and the Drew Crew discover that the car wreck that left one of their own at death’s door was no accident. While simultaneously hoping to solve the crime, the crew investigates the physical evidence of sabotage to the car and take a supernatural detour into the metaphysical world. Scott Wolf, Leah Lewis, Maddison Jaizani, Tunji Kasim, Alex Sacon, Riley Smith and Alvina August also star. Alexis Ostrander directed the episode written by Jesse Stern (#108). Original airdate 12/4/2019. Every episode of NANCY DREW will be available to stream on CWTV.com and The CW App the day after broadcast for free and without a subscription, log-in or authentication required.

Episode 9, “The Hidden Staircase” (December 11) -WINTER FINALE – In our winter finale, Nancy (Kennedy McMann) and the Drew Crew desperately search for George’s (Leah Lewis) missing sister, Ted (guest star Ariah Lee), whose kidnapping eerily mirrors the investigation that started Nancy’s sleuthing career. Meanwhile, while revisiting the trauma of her past, as a means to solving the present-day mystery, Nancy finally reconnects with her father just as an escalation in the Lucy Sable investigation threatens to separate them forever. Scott Wolf, Maddison Jaizani, Tunji Kasim, Alex Saxon, Riley Smith and Alvina August also star. Shannon Kohli directed the episode written by Melinda Hsu Taylor (#109). Original airdate 12/11/2019. Every episode of NANCY DREW will be available to stream on CWTV.com and The CW App the day after broadcast for free and without a subscription, log-in or authentication required.

Given that the final episode there is the last one until at least January, you better believe that things are going to get crazy! Be prepared for some jaw-droppers, and some reasons to be very much intrigued in where this twisted story will go from here.

Just remember to watch live if you love this show — it’s one of the best ways to ensure there will be a season 2 down the road!
