Legacies season 2 episode 7 promo: Tale of two Landons
As you can see in the video below, Legacies has crafted for itself a rather-unique challenge, one in which there are two different Landons wandering around. When we asked for a solution to the Hope/Landon/Josie love triangle, we didn’t exactly expect this as the end result of it. This is one of the stranger situations that we’ve seen this show tackle, but also one of the more entertaining. It’s a guessing game, but also one where there are major questions all about motive. Why would someone want to do this? What’s to be gained from it? We don’t know if there’s a clear answer there, but we’re eager to see everything be explored more in-depth.
If nothing else, a mystery like this is one of the great things that a show like Legacies can really dive into that almost no other show can. Because of all of the various ways this mythology has been expanded over the years, there are probably multiple explanations to a multiple-Landon phenomenon — it’s not so easy to point towards any one thing. Add to this the fact that this episode is the penultimate one of the calendar year, and we have a feeling that the story will have a pretty significant amount of staying power.
Of course, whenever this is all sorts out it’d still be nice in order to see Landon make a choice — we don’t exactly think that this whole double-trouble phenomenon is one that is going to stick around forever. Maybe this is just a way for Josie and Hope to look at some of their own feelings, in addition to creating a lot of chaos around these two characters at the same exact time.
