Legacies season 2 episode 7 return date: The Malivore Portal quest
We don’t think that it’s going to be all that much of a surprise to anyone that there is no new episode of Legacies next week. After all, it’s Thanksgiving! Why in the world would The CW want to air opposite that holiday? Consider this a chance to relax, have a turkey dinner, and then re-watch a few episodes. The series will be coming back on December 4 with another installment that is going to be all about closing the Malivore portal … or at least trying to. We’re going to see Hope and Josie team up, just as we’re also going to see some elements about Professor Vardemus start to unravel. Vardemus seems to be a perfect example of that character who you perceive is up to no good … and then you have to see what’s actually underneath the surface.

THE RACE TO CLOSE THE MALIVORE PORTAL – After deciding that leaving town would be for the best, Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) gets pulled back in after Josie (Kaylee Bryant) comes up with a risky plan to close the Malivore portal. Elsewhere, Alaric (Matthew Davis) and Dorian (guest star Demetrius Bridges) make an alarming discovery about Professor Vardemus (guest star Alexis Denisof), while Rafael (Peyton Alex Smith) learns some upsetting news about Landon’s (Aria Shahghasemi) future. Jenny Boyd also stars. Lauren Petzke directed the episode written by Jimmy Mosqueda & Cynthia Adarkwa (#207). Original airdate 12/5/2019.
While seeing Hope and Josie do their best to resolve this crisis should prove interesting, remember this as well — we’re not sure that there will be any resolution at all in this particular episode! This feels a little bit more like something that would play out in a winter/fall finale, and then carry over into the new year. That’s why, at least from this vantage point, we’re viewing what is coming up as a stepping stone more than anything.
