Is Supergirl new tonight on The CW? We know that there is a lot to look forward to — take, for example, the Leviathan story. We’ve also got questions over Lena Luthor, Alex’s personal life, and the impending Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event.
Unfortunately, we’re going to be waiting for a little while still in order to see more of the Melissa Benoist superhero series. The CW series is not on the air tonight, which makes it the first week since the premiere where we have a break in the action. Consider this a small chance to collect yourself and prepare for the future — after all, there are a LOT of big things coming soon for Supergirl on the air. We mentioned them in the last paragraph, but why not go ahead and get some more insight?
If you look below, you can see synopses for the next new episodes, including the first hour of the Crisis on Infinite Earths event. (If you didn’t see it, you can see a preview for the crossover now over at the link here.
December 1, “The Rath of Rama Khan” – MID-SEASON FINALE – Supergirl’s (Melissa Benoist) struggle against Leviathan reaches a boiling point as she faces off against Rama Khan (guest star Mitch Pileggi). Meanwhile, as Lena (Katie McGrath) and Hope (Andrea Brooks) work to launch Project Non Nocere, Hope proves to be an invaluable asset to Lena. Marcus Stokes directed the episode written by Lindsay Struman & Jessica Kardos (#508). Original airdate 12/1/2019.
December 8, “Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part One” -THE KICKOFF TO THE EPIC TELEVISON CROSSOVER EVENT, CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS – The Monitor (guest star LaMonica Garrett) sends Harbinger (guest star Audrey Marie Anderson) to gather the worlds’ greatest heroes – Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), The Flash (guest star Grant Gustin), Green Arrow (guest star Stephen Amell), Batwoman (guest star Ruby Rose), White Canary (guest star Caity Lotz), The Atom (guest star Brandon Routh) and Superman (guest star Tyler Hoechlin) – in preparation for the impending Crisis. With their worlds in imminent danger, the superheroes suit up for battle while J’onn (David Harewood) and Alex (Chyler Leigh) recruit Lena (Katie McGrath) to help them find a way to save the people of Earth-38. Jesse Warn directed the episode with story by Robert Rovner & Marc Guggenheim and teleplay by Derek Simon & Jay Faerber (#509). Original airdate 12/8/2019.
All in all, we’ve got a feeling that there are some incredible stories coming in these two weeks — and that’s without even getting into the mysteries that will come in 2020. Supergirl hasn’t revealed a whole lot of information about that yet.
