Law & Order: SVU season 21 episode 10 return date hopes on NBC
One of the things that we know about NBC these days is that for one reason or another, they’ve decided that they don’t want to do too much when it comes to programming new episodes in the month of December. This allows them more flexibility to do holiday-themed episodes and the like. (We know that they’re also planning a marathon for the craft-based reality competition show Making It.)
Because of this, there will be no episode of SVU in December. For now, we’d go ahead and say that the series is going to return on Thursday, January 9. This seems to be in line with NBC’s general release schedule for a lot of their different shows across the board. Take, for example, One Chicago, which is going to be airing new episodes starting on January 8.
As for what’s coming up when SVU returns, there are all sorts of possibilities on the table — there almost always are. While there are plots that course through the entire season and there is still a relatively-new member of the squad, the bread and butter of the show is going to remain the individual stories. It will continue to be about the heroes who continue to work tirelessly for victims and ensure that justice is served. It’s not always a job that comes with appreciation for every case, but it’s one that is needed. Sometimes, the victims do not have a voice at all.
Beyond any promos, we suspect that in mid-December, more details about the upcoming season of SVU still start to come out. We’ll have more information on that the moment that the info starts to trickle in. What we know at present is rather simple: Rollins is in danger, and you better hope that the SVU team, plus Carisi, will do whatever they can to find her and soon. This is as harrowing of a situation as we’ve seen her in coming out of a midseason finale.
