Madam Secretary season 6 episode 10 (series finale) details!
While we know that the story of Elizabeth McCord is meant to be fictional, we do think that the goal here is to make this show bigger than your average TV season. It’s meant to offer up a larger message that viewers can take away about hope, equality, and using your political powers for good. It appears as though the series finale is going to serve as a means of doing some of that — while also bringing on board some notable guest stars!
For a few more details, check out the full synopsis below courtesy of CBS:
In the series finale, members of the World Cup Champion U.S. Women’s Soccer team, Crystal Dunn, Allie Long, Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger, visit the White House to help Elizabeth (Téa Leoni) kick off a new landmark political initiative. Cicely Tyson guest stars as Flo Avery, who was born the day women were granted the right to vote, and joins the soccer stars at the White House. Tyne Daly guest stars as Senator Amy Ross from Ohio, who opposes the initiative.
Also, Grammy Award winner and music icon Peter Frampton performs during a McCord family celebration. Previously, Frampton performed during the series’ fifth season.
Will Elizabeth remain President through the end of the series? We know that she’s going to face some significant challenges coming up, but knowing both the show and also its tone, the writers are probably going to figure out a way to have her persevere and make it through some of these problems in one piece. With the finale airing during the holiday season in particular, we have a hard time imagining that the producers will want to make it overly depressing.
The one bad thing about the finale is that based on the current schedule, it’s still going to air at a super-late time on the East Coast due to football. Be prepared to adjust accordingly.
