‘American Idol’ notes: Kris Allen, Carrie Underwood, Phillip Phillips

It’s Halloween, so it only seems to be somewhat appropriate that we start this new edition of “American Idol” notes with something that is at least scary in a comical sense: a singer dressed up as a member of the Ghostbusters wandering around the rain-drenched streets of Washington DC.

This man is of course season 8 champ Kris Allen, who has been touring the country as of late (and who had to cancel one of his shows due to Hurricane Sandy ruining travel condition). For whatever reason, the Washington Post helped to capture video of what happened when a reporter asked for a photo, as Kris and his band ran outside sporting costumes that had the theme revolving around the Bill Murray classic.

Carrie Underwood’s next single – For those of you who are big Carrie fans out there, we thought it best to bring you this announcement in her own words via Twitter:

“The next single is…’Two Black Cadillacs!’ It’s certainly a favorite of mine! We’re going to shoot the video soon! It’s going to be great!”

This song follows up “Good Girl,” and “Blown Away,” and the only real question that we have is just when Carrie is actually going to have the time to shoot this video in between her concert tour that has been going on as of late.

Phillip Phillips – Finally, an announcement for all of those interested: the reigning champ will be joining forces with another winner in Scotty McCreery soon, as the two will be performing at The Grove Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 11.
