Outlander season 5 casting news: Paul Gorman, Bronwyn James, & Chris Donald
HERE, we’re going to break down the latest info — at least based on who some of these characters are in the Diana Gabaldon source material. Things are always subject to change insofar as the show goes.
Paul Gorman – This is exciting! We actually have another actor playing two characters — it’s not just a title held by Tobias Menzies anymore. Here, Gorman is taking on both Josiah and Kezzie Beardsley, twin brothers who could end up becoming a part of Fraser’s Ridge. They are both hunters, and that could prove to be rather useful at a place where there is a constant need for a food supply.
Bronwyn James – Meanwhile, the Harlots actress is going to be appearing here in the role of Fanny Beardsley. Kezzie and Josiah are indentured servants to Aaron and Fanny, and we anticipate that Fanny in particular could have a pretty important role. After all, James is a performer with plenty of credits to her name.
Chris Donald – It’s actually somewhat-interesting that Starz would confirm that he will be back as Phillip Wylie, given that he is a character who’s been a part of the show already. Granted, we haven’t seen him since the early days of season 4, but still.
There are a number of different Outlander castings that we imagine are still coming, so stay tuned for some of those! With filming concluding soon, we’re sure that the producers and the network are going to get a little bit more liberal with some of the information that they start handing out.
