Veronica Mars season 5 not happening (for now) at Hulu

Is Veronica Mars ending, and this time for good? There are questions about it right now, especially in the wake of new reports.

According to a new story courtesy of TVLine, it appears as though there are no plans for a season 5 at the moment at Hulu, months removed from the eight-episode fourth season premiered on the streaming service. That was a product that a lot of viewers out there were eager to behold — yet, it ended up being one of the most polarizing seasons in recent history. What happened? A lot of it comes down to the key Logan decision in the closing minutes, one that rocked most of the internet from the moment that it was first witnessed.

At the time the moment happened, one of the quotes that we kept hearing, time and time again, was how this was the right way to push the story forward. Yet, how can that happen if there is no more story coming at all? It’s possible that the ending caused plans for the future to stall out; or, it’s also possible that this is just something that will take a lot of time to come together. Remember that Kristen Bell has a number of other jobs, including the final season of The Good Place airing right now.

Despite however polarizing the fourth season of Veronica Mars may have been, we definitely don’t think that it means the end of the road for the series as a whole — even if there is no plan for another season right now. Just remember this — there was certainly no plan for a season 3 after the show was canceled years ago, and there was still a way that everything came together. Everything is in that way tentative, but it’s worth putting some stock in this news for the time being.

If you do want to go back and enjoy some of the glory days of Veronica Mars, here is your reminder that the first four seasons are all available for streaming on Hulu.
