This Is Us season 4 episode 8 spoilers: Where is Kevin?

For most of This Is Us, the mysteries exist within the flash-forward timeline. Yet, on Tuesday night there’s a big one in the present. Where in the world is Kevin Pearson?

The last time that we saw Justin Hartley’s character on the NBC series, it was right after he and Cassidy slept together. There was some obvious chemistry between the two characters, but at the same time, there are also a lot of obstacles. Both are recovering addicts and for Cassidy, she’s also dealing with a divorce. Kevin may be feeling guilt over being with Cassidy at such a time in her life, or he could have relapsed and he’s gone off the deep end.

No matter what’s happening to him, it is a clear cause for concern, and that’s what makes it the subject of the new sneak preview via TVInsider. If you check that out now, you can see that Nicky is immensely concerned over Kevin’s whereabouts. He’s so much, in fact, that he calls Cassidy (which he never does) and asks if she’s seen him. While Nicky hasn’t shown a lot of care for other people through his time on the series, we think that this is an opportunity for some of that to shine through. He probably doesn’t show a lot of love because he’s experienced so much love, and Kevin being MIA may awaken some of those fears that he has. This is someone who’s actually tried to help him, and now he may need a little bit of help himself.

There’s no real reason to worry about the worst-case scenario, as we know that Kevin is alive in the future. Yet, there are still a lot of other consequences that could befall him depending on what’s going on here.
