We know that there’s a new episode of NCIS season 17 airing on CBS Tuesday night, but for Ziva fans, you’re going to be waiting for a little while longer. Cote de Pablo will not be surfacing as the character at any point during that hour and instead, you’ll be waiting until December 17 to see her back on the air.
So what is the show going to look like with Ziva as a part of it? We discuss that to some extent within the video below — after you watch, be sure to subscribe to CarterMatt on YouTube and then also visit our full NCIS playlist. CBS itself is not releasing too many details as of yet, but signs point to it being a fun episode with some cool locations, as well. How else do you explain the NCIS cast moving away from their typical filming lot?

In a new post on his Instagram Stories, Wilmer Valderrama confirmed that not only is he filming an episode right now with Ziva, but that he is working now out of the Paramount lot in Los Angeles. Typically, the series films nearby in Santa Clarita, which is where most of the familiar sets are located. The change of location means mostly that the team will be venturing out of their comfort zone somewhat for whatever the writers are throwing their way. Given that Ziva is back, she may be requiring some of their help in order to ensure that some threats are adequately taken out.
It’s unclear at the moment if Valderrama is filming the episode set to air on December 17, or the one that follows that is airing on January 7. Either way, there is a lot to look forward to.
