Celebrity Big Brother, winter All-Stars not on CBS schedule
Today, CBS unveiled their full schedule for the upcoming winter months, and it’s notable that there is no Big Brother featured. Not only that, but it’s hard to figure out how any Big Brother could be added down the road. There may not be a lot of room for it. The network has filled up a lot of its seemingly-open spots with the likes of Criminal Minds, Undercover Boss, new dramas Tommy and FBI: Most Wanted, and then also the fourth season of MacGyver. To be frank, there’s a lot less room in their schedule than there once was for it.

Yet, does any of this mean that there is zero chance at all for more of the Big Brother franchise? We wouldn’t go that far at all, as there is still a chance of an online-only season like Big Brother: Over the Top. Technically, there is still a chance at a winter season, though the scheduling would have to be rather tricky. It would have to find a few open spots on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays to air — maybe there’d be a few opening son Tuesdays, as well, but it would be tricky. We just don’t know why CBS would withhold announcing it now if they had the opportunity to do so alongside their other programming.
So, for now, we’d approach the idea of a winter season with a little less optimism than once was present for it. The only reason we thought that there would be one in the first place is because of host Julie Chen posting all sorts of ridiculous stuff on social media the past couple of weeks, whether it be Halloween costumes or random gifs from the show. Why would she do that? Maybe it was to just entertain the fandom in the off-season, but it feels like somewhat of a dubious choice in the end.
Do you think that there is still hope for a winter season of Big Brother at all?
