Is Fatima leaving NCIS: Los Angeles? Medalion Rahimi’s status

Is Fatima leaving NCIS: Los Angeles following the events of Sunday’s new episode? We’ll answer that question within; not only that, but also share more of what could be coming up next.

For those of you who do like the character (a relative newcomer, at least in comparison to some others), you likely know already of what happened at the conclusion of tonight’s new episode. She has been assigned one of Hetty’s trademark secret missions, one that requires her to go somewhere away from the team and often with no real communication with the outside world. What we’re trying to say here is rather simple — this is not an easy job for anyone to take on.

Yet, Fatima is no normal agent. We’ve learned from her time and time again that she’s extremely capable both physically and mentally. Personality-wise, she’s also rather interesting given her upbringing and, apparently, the fact that she has never read  To Kill a Mockingbird.

So is Medalion Rahimi leaving the show? For the time being, we wouldn’t say that — also, remember that she is not technically a part of NCIS: Los Angeles as a series in the first place. She’s been recurring ever since she came on board and while we do think it’d be fun to see her in a more permanent capacity, it hasn’t quite happened. The only comparison we can make here is to Hidoko, who grew on viewers over time and felt almost like a regular prior to the character being killed off.

We’re assuming that, for now, Fatima will have a chance to return since we never saw the character die … but she could be gone for a while. For those who want another familiar face back in the office, know this — it won’t be too long before Eric Beale returns! He will be back in just two weeks’ time and you’ll learn what’s been going on with him. Maybe once his mission is complete, the same could be said for what Fatima is up to, as well.
