There are few shows like This Is Us that have a tendency to make you feel all of the feelings right around the holidays. That’s probably one of the reasons why the NBC series is so intent on making sure that there are some great episodes this time of year.

Today, we’re happy to say that there will be a season 4 Thanksgiving episode coming one week from Tuesday (think November 19), and it carries with it the title of “So Long, Marianne.” So what can you expect throughout it this time? While some details are at the moment vague, we can go ahead and tell you that you’re going to have a chance in order to see Thanksgiving celebrated with much of the family at Randall’s place in Philadelphia. That makes sense for at least some of the Pearsons on the East Coast, given especially that Kevin and Nicky are both in Bradford. (We are, of course, assuming that Nicky is going to come to Thanksgiving.)

We’re assuming already that there are a lot of people who will be coming together for this holiday, and there could be some relationships that are different once the holiday is over. There are these new characters who are a part of the mix at the moment — take for example Cassidy and Malik — and they could at least be subjects of conversation. We’re not anywhere near as confident that the two have some sort of physical presence in the episode. At least not yet. Maybe they will have a chance to appear in some other Thanksgiving episodes down the road? Time will tell.

For now, consider this episode of This Is Us to be a perfect prelude to Turkey Day.
