Grey’s Anatomy season 16 episode 9 spoilers: Jo’s new passion

Recently on season 16, we had a chance to learn a little bit more about some of what Jo went through when she was in treatment. She found a way to overcome some of her demons, and because of that, she wants to help others who are dealing with issues of her own.

Jo becomes a safe haven volunteer and gets a call that a baby has been dropped off at Station 19. Meanwhile, Meredith moves forward with her life after facing the medical board. Jackson takes a big step in his budding romance with Vic, while Bailey and Amelia swap pregnancy updates.

While Jo is clearly entering this arena with some of her best intentions at heart, there are some other clear concerns that she may have. Will seeing a situation like this send her flashing back to a part of her own past? That’s something that you have to be concerned with just because overcoming demons doesn’t mean that they are gone forever.

As for the other storylines within this episode, the pregnancy updates for Bailey and Amelia could be fun … with emphasis on the word “could.” Because this is Grey’s Anatomy, we know very well already that there is a chance that some terrible things could end up happening down the road. We have to prepare ourselves for that, in addition to a number of other things, as well.
