Is Omari Hardwick done with Power, and is he ready to wave goodbye to the character of James “Ghost” St. Patrick? That is, regrettably, not something that we’ve got clear information on at the moment.
Yet, we do know this — we had a thrilling ride with this character, and we hope that there are some more thrilling ones to come. We want to believe that somehow, Ghost is alive despite what we saw at the end of Sunday’s midseason finale. Here’s what feels clear at the moment: Ghost was shot. We saw the character fall from his perch in Truth with a gunshot in the chest. Yet, we also saw Bianca outside Truth getting ready to make her move. It feels like she heard the gunshot and all of a sudden, she goes from trying to arrest Ghost to trying to save his life … at least if she acts how we think that she’s going to act.

Here’s where things get interesting. Judging from a new post on his Instagram, Omari is saying goodbye to the character. This post is not the sort that someone makes when they think that they’ve got another run of episodes ahead. There is a sense of finality and acceptance about it. Omari is in the process of doing a movie right now, but that doesn’t interfere with anything that he would have been doing with the show. Power wrapped filming a little while back.
Regardless of if Ghost is alive or not, we have a feeling that we’re going to be seeing Omari again. Just remember how much we’ve seen Lela Loren already this season despite Angela being dead!
