NCIS: Los Angeles season 11: Where is Nell Jones? Is she leaving?

Where is Nell Jones on tonight’s NCIS: Los Angeles, and should you be afraid that Renee Felice Smith is leaving the show? Within this article, we come bearing answers on that, and some other valuable details from the installment as a whole.

At the start of tonight’s new episode, we ended up learning that Nell wasn’t making an appearance in “A Bloody Brilliant Plan.” The reasoning for this was presented in simple fashion: She was off in San Francisco. That is where her mother is, and that is also where Eric is presumably working on a mission of his own that is rather hush-hush in nature. (Eric’s really gone for a big chunk of the season because Barrett Foa is working on a play. He will be back before too long.)

The absence of Nell within this episode is continuing what has been a rather strange trend through most of NCIS: Los Angeles this season — there are a lot of actors on the show who have been missing here and there. We’ve barely seen Linda Hunt as of late as Hetty, and there was an even an episode earlier this season that is rather light on Deeks. A part of the reason for this may be allowing some actors to get some breaks here and there, but it is still strange to see episodes pop up without some of your established favorites.

It may just be us but, in the end, we do like NCIS: Los Angeles best when it is in its purest form. By that, we mean mostly that we enjoy getting too see all of the team together, taking part in some adventures and enjoying some of their work. It’s the community aspect of the show that allows it to stand out from all of the other sides that are out there.
