Supergirl season 5 episode 7 spoilers: What does Kara learn about Lena?

We’ve been noting for a while now that there would be some powerful Kara – Lena stories on Supergirl season 5, not that this should be a surprise. From the moment that Lena learned the truth about Kara being Supergirl last season, there was a paradigm shift. It wasn’t a 100% guarantee that the two would ever have the same friendly relationship again.

As we get through the remainder of this season, everything’s going to be under construction. Things will get rocky — that old expression of “it’ll get worse before it gets better” seems to fit the bill. Lena’s going to go through whatever she’s going to go through, and you just have to hope that once she gets through that, calmer heads can prevail … or at least something akin to calmer heads. First, there will be pain. The fact that Supergirl season 5 episode 7 is entitled “Tremors” doesn’t give us too much hope.

Beyond the Kara/Lena story, reading this synopsis out makes it clear that J’onn’s storyline with Malefic is going to be going on still in its own right. We know that Malefic is feeling some emotions of betrayal — he feels like he was left behind and forgotten, and those emotions are powerful drivers. It’s something that could guide him through at least the first part of this season.

Yet, here’s the weird thing about charting the course of Supergirl season 5 overall — it’s hard to speculate too much when there is still Crisis on Infinite Earths coming later this year. It’s very well possible that the entire world is going to feel different once that event comes and gone. Are most of the main characters from this show going to even be alive?
