Hawaii Five-0 season 10 episode 6 sneak peek: Tani & Quinn’s new ‘task’

So what are Tani Rey and Quinn Liu doing with a pair of YouTubers on Friday night’s Hawaii Five-0? Well, let’s just say that it may not be anywhere near as random as it seems on the surface.

In the sneak peek that CarterMatt has for you below, you learn that a couple of these YouTubers (played by comedy duo Tom Allen and John Parr) were hired in order to create a good HPD recruitment video — what better way to make working for the police feel trendy? You’ll see the two of them go on a ridealong with Meaghan Rath and Katrina Law’s characters … though it feels like the two were expecting to go along with McGarrett! Surprise? Maybe Steve has a case that’s making it hard for him to work with the two guys, but we gotta admit that it feels just as much like working with YouTubers is not his speed.

While we’re sure that Tani or Quinn is familiar with the world of YouTube already (and so is CarterMatt as we have a YouTube channel as well if you aren’t already subscribed!), we don’t imagine that they’re going to find this task altogether easy! You are, after all, dealing with two guys who don’t have any real idea as to what police procedure is like. While many people think that YouTubers are slackers that put up a video and spend the rest of the day slacking off, the truth is, YouTubers do work hard! (we’ve produced hundreds of videos over the past year alone.) They just operate on a different wavelength than a lot of other people and it’s one of those gigs that is so much harder than anyone realizes. For starters, you’re putting yourself out there to all sorts of commentary, both good and bad as well as people digging into your personal life whether you want them to or not. That being said, YouTube is also tremendously rewarding in so many different ways!

There may be a few serious moments sprinkled within this Hawaii Five-0 episode — there almost always are — but we’d anticipate that, by and large, the foundation within this episode is going to be a comedic one. These are the sort of stories that this show can pull off effectively, while at the same time featuring personal moments for characters and huge explosions.
