11/07/2019 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Thursday) : The SVU joins an undercover task force in busting a human trafficking ring. Starring Mariska Hargitay, Ice T, Kelli Giddish and Peter Scanavino. Guest starring Jamie Gray Hyder, Zuleikha Robinson, Nelson Lee and Margaret Cho. TV-14 D, V
If you haven’t heard some of the finer details as of yet, Cho is going to be playing a massage-parlor manager who gets caught up in the human trafficking case. Actually, “caught up” may not be the right way to describe it — she could end up being the guilty party for perpetrating the whole ring.
Just when you think about the nature of this particular story at the moment, it’s easy to say that there is a real ripped-from-the-headlines feel to it. This is a storyline that feels inspired by what happened with New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft over the past year or so, though we have a feeling that there will be a few details sprinkled in over time.
As we move further and further into the season, we’re anticipating that there will be all sorts of twists along the way. One of the things that we’ve come to learn about the world of SVU over the years is this — things don’t move often in a straight line. Right when you think there’s an answer in this case, things could swerve soon in another direction.
