Outlander notes: Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, & filming to come

Welcome to a new, Halloween edition of Outlander notes! Unfortunately, we don’t have any costumes or candy for you here, but if you want to read onward dressed as your favorite character, we certainly would stop you.

What’s worth reporting/discussing today? Let’s kick things off here with some of the latest news involving Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, and Richard Rankin — they will all be attending the BAFTA Scotland awards on November 3! The organization already announced the full roster of attendees:

For those of you who want to feature some fine fashion featuring some of the cast members, this is your chance to see that! It’s also a nice chance to see Sam, Richard, and Caitriona doing something away from filming, which they’ve been working hard at for a rather-long time. So how much longer will filming last for season 5? Think, more than likely, a couple more weeks if not a little longer! Signs point towards a mid-November conclusion to the season, so there should be some chances for things to start to wind down around then … but there could still be reshoots, ADR work, promotion, and more going on for the cast. Work on a show like this is rarely ever done!
