Power season 6 episode 9 spoilers: New ‘Scorched Earth’ details!

In just a handful of hours at this point, Power season 6 episode 9 is going to arrive on Starz … and it’s gonna be nuts. Think about where we left off — LaKeisha is dead, Tommy is in mourning, but he also recognizes that time is of the essence for some of his own plans. That includes doing whatever he can in order to ensure that Jason is dead — so long as he is alive, it makes it pretty tough to settle whatever sort of feud that he has with Ghost.

Starz waited a LONG time in order to give us more details on this episode (entitled “Scorched Earth”) — we imagine that much of the reason for that is because they wanted to do whatever they can in order to keep things under wraps during the one-week hiatus. Yet, that’s changed now as we have a few more Power season 6 episode 9 details. It at least gives us more of a sense of what is coming up next:

As Ghost and Tommy move forward with their plan to kill Jason, Tommy enacts a plan of his own; Dre uses a ruse to force Tommy’s organization to rebel against him; Tommy battles the kin of one of his past victims.

Is Dre gonna get Tommy killed? It feels like this is one of the things that Power wants us to be worried about entering this episode … but we still can’t see it. It’s just too hard to buy into the concept of losing Joseph Sikora’s character right now.

We’re SO much worried about Dre — this is a guy who has been the ultimate cat with nine lives on this show. Isn’t he gonna run out at some point? It certainly feels that way.
