Is Power new tonight on Starz? Over the past eight weeks, we’ve been treated to lots of drama, big reveals, and character deaths. LOTS of character deaths. If the writers keep this up, the series finale is going to consist mostly of Ghost staring at a brick wall, contemplating where he will go next and whatever sort of carnage he will cause.

Unfortunately, we’re not going to get a chance to see any events — or a rising body count — for another seven days, give or take. There is no new episode this week, as the network is making you wait until midnight on October 27 to check out “Scorched Earth.” This seems to be the penultimate episode of Power within the calendar year 2019. After that, new installments will air on Starz starting early on in the new year — and those will bring us to the endgame of this part of the story. (There is a spin-off coming featuring Mary J. Blige, but there are few other updates available as of right now.)

So what is coming next on the series? The promo for “Scorched Earth” is over at the link here, in the event you haven’t seen it.

As of right now, we’re very concerned over Tate. Just think about why — he may be coming at Ghost with information on his past, thinking that he is the sort of person who can be intimidated. As we know, that never ends well for people on this show. Meanwhile, we’re also aware that Power is, at its core, not a political series. Its focus is often more on the drug trade, the “game,” and the consequences of the various forms of power people seek. This is why the politics probably got thrown in. Eradicating Tate could enable Ghost to seek more political power as an opponent, but also set him up for a huge fall if someone finds out he killed him. (Provided that he did.) The story possibilities are why we’re predicting that Tate is the next character to fall.
