SEAL Team season 3: Did Sonny and Davis break up?
So why allow this relationship to end now? It feels to be mostly a function of where the two are in terms of their job, and also how it ends up changing their behaviors when they are out in the field together. Sonny recognizes that there is a LOT at stake for the two of them, but he also does think that he can balance that with also being with her. However, at the same time Davis feels the opposite. She’s worried about the long-term implications of them working together while being involved romantically; she just doesn’t think it’s going to be successful and wants to end it before things are more serious.
This is going to be tough for many reasons — largely because of the fact that these two are also close friends, let alone colleagues. They’ve got a lot that is currently on their plate.
Yet, at the same time we refuse to acknowledge that this is going to be the end for the two of them … mostly because it’s hard to imagine that this is ever going to be the case fully. They care about each other too much and we have to imagine that they are going to do everything in their power to remain at least cordial … if Sonny can get over the heartbreak, it is. It doesn’t change the fact that the two are going to need to continue working with each other, and they’re going to be put in more life-or-death situations.
For now, though, we’re going to need to grab some tissues and be emotional about this for a while. We care about them together, mostly because they were so unlikely a couple and were fun to see on TV!
