Chicago PD season 7 episode 6 spoilers: Halstead’s emotional case

When you work as a member of Intelligence on Chicago PD, it’s easy to drew the assumption that you would grow numb to cases over time. It’s a part of the job and like with any other, it’s only inevitable that sooner or later, you’re going to just get used to what you’re doing. Because of that, maybe you’re not going to take cases personally, or you’ll think of what you’re going through as just “yet another day.”

Well, within season 7 episode 6 entitled “False Positive,” you’re going to get a great opportunity to see how Jay Halstead becomes invested … albeit in one of the most horrifying cases imaginable. It shows his heart, his passion for justice, and also his humanity — he has to be a vessel for a lot of people out there. The case that he is working within this episode involves the most innocent of victims, which leads to the question as to both who would do this and also why.

As for how this facial-recognition software impacts the case, we can understand the potential effectiveness. If you are Crawford, it makes a certain degree of sense to utilize whatever technology is at your disposal — and you’re also going to be eager to put a face to the crimes. You want to show to the people of Chicago that you aren’t settling and you are doing everything within your power to get answers.

Yet, what if this thirst for justice leads to the wrong person being identified.  Won’t that be a public-relations nightmare more so than anything else? There’s nothing like old-fashioned police work to get the job done! You may need to just forget about modern technology, and focus a little bit instead on how you got the job in the first place.
