This Is Us season 4 episode 6 spoilers: Join ‘The Club’

Next week, This Is Us season 4 episode 6 invites you to “The Club” an episode that may be about a group of people on the inside. With that in mind, you have to assume that there is also going to be a group of people on the outside.

So what is the club referring to? We’ve got a good sense of that, at least per the official This Is Us season 4 episode 6 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below:

10/29/2019 (09:00PM – 10:01PM) (Tuesday) : Kate and Toby try to make time for their marriage. Jack attempts to prove himself to Rebecca’s father. Randall struggles to find his place with the other councilmen. TV-14 DL

We would assume that the Club at the heart of this episode is going to be one tied to Randall and his fellow councilman. What is going on here? If we had to theorize, we’d argue that this may be all about him looking at how close all of these other people are and wondering where he fits in. Randall doesn’t play by the rules; he goes rogue, and sometimes that irks the others who feel like he’s trying to be better than them.

So what about the other characters?

For Kate and Toby, working on their marriage means mostly finding time for each other. Toby’s got a busy job, and he’s also been working to get into better shape for the sake of his future. Also, they have a baby and that is the sort of thing that will always add a lot of stress and time to the schedule. They may figure things out, but it won’t come easy.

As for what we’re getting when it comes to Jack, it feels like a direct sequel to the premiere — otherwise known as when we had a chance to see how Rebecca’s father really feels about Jack. Let’s just say that, at least for now, he’s not all that much of a fan.
