Shark Tank preview: Bug Bite Thing, Knife Aid, Snacklins, Plop Star

Shark Tank

Want to get a good sense of what’s next on Shark Tank tonight? Think in terms of Snacklins, Bug Bite Thing, Knife Aid, and Plop Star. These are four products that are all incredibly different from one another, but all of them are unified towards the same goal — trying to get a great deal to secure their future.

Below, the latest Shark Tank synopsis gives you a good sense of what’s coming in terms of how these entrepreneurs perceive their products:

“Episode 1105” – Entrepreneurs from Malibu, California, have modernized an age-old craft by offering knife sharpening by mail. A mother-daughter duo from Jacksonville, Florida, introduces a simple yet ingenious device that offers relief for all who suffer from bug bites. While an entrepreneur from Western Springs, Illinois, pitches a bathroom product to help block odors before they start. Finally, a Muslim American from Rockville, Maryland, invented a vegan alternative to pork rinds on “Shark Tank,” SUNDAY, OCT. 20 (9:00-10:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. Episodes can also be viewed the next day on ABC.com, the ABC app and Hulu.

For a few more details, all you have to do is look below.

Bug Bite Thing – This is one of the more interesting innovations this season — a suction device that allows for insect venom/saliva to be extracted from people soon after a bite. It’s a way to make treatment of said bites easier and with less irritating symptoms. Given how much people like to be outdoors, there could be a market for it.

Plop Star -Let’s face it — everyone has to go sometimes. What this product does is make it so that certain smells aren’t detective after you do go. Sure, it may not be something everyone wants to think about, but it keeps embarrassing smells from getting out. Strangely, there have been a lot of toilet-related Shark Tank products, but a lot of them fare well.

Snacklins – The idea here is that this is a snack billed in some ways as a vegan pork ride — they have a crunch and a very simple list of ingredients. The idea here is something tasty that isn’t terrible for you, and they’ll be looking to make a deal. Yet, we’re very aware right now of just how competitive this category is.

Knife Aid – The rise of mail-in services, despite this being a digital age, has become one of the most interesting subplots of the past few years. This one in particular, though, has some viability for those who don’t want to look for pro knife sharpeners — they’ll sharpen your knives for you and mail them back after the fact. If you’ve got expensive knives, there could be value in this.
