NCIS season 17 episode 6 photo: Who is Dante Brown?
In particular, we’re looking at this episode (entitled “Institutionalized”) through the lens of someone who is going to be a huge part of the story in Dante Brown. This is a man who not only is going to be a murder suspect, but he’s also a longtime friend of Kasie Hines. This is the biggest episode for Diona Reasonover this season, as you’re going to see her step outside of the lab and into some other places within the world.
Why would someone accuse Dante of murder? That’s one of the key questions of this episode, and it’s probably going to lead to Kasie asking some questions, as well. Yet, the fact that the photo above shows her visiting him in prison should be a slight symbol of hope. There’s at least an implication here that she is not giving up on him, and she’s still going to be interested in trying to get to the bottom of what happened.

In a lot of ways, NCIS season 17 episode 6 will be a variation of what is a classic crime-TV trope — the episode where either a main character or a relative/friend of a main character is in trouble, and it’s up to some of the heroes in order to clear their name. Yet, there are a few reasons why this episode could be different. For starters, we don’t know Dante as a person in this world anywhere near as well as other past people in this position on crime shows. Also, Kasie isn’t an NCIS agent; while she may want to investigate this herself, she’s going to be limited somewhat by what she can and can’t do. She’ll be reliant on some of her fellow agents as she works to get to the bottom of everything that transpires within this hour.
