Supernatural season 15 episode 4 spoilers: Jensen Ackles directs!

What’s coming up on Supernatural season 15 episode 4? One of the things that is most appealing here on the surface is simple: The opportunity to see Jensen Ackles as a director once more! While this has been reasonably commonplace within the world of the show over the years, it’s a little more special now. Everything is a little more special now when you consider that we are in the final season. We are so close to the end that every occasion may be the last occasion. With that, we mean that this episode could be the last one to feature Jensen in the director’s chair, as much as we hate stating that idea out loud. Yet, at least we’ve got some time to prepare for it, given that this installment isn’t airing until November 7.

If you were to just look at this on the surface, maybe you could state that this sounds like an episode of just about every crime procedural under the sun. Yet, we think that we’ve seen enough of Supernatural over the years to note that this is not your ordinary show, and it’s never going to do ordinary things. There may very well be an epic twist or turn hovering underneath the surface somewhere … and we’re very much stoked to find out.

One more thing that we fee like we should point out here is rather simple — the production code. Why is it listed as #1501? The simplest reason for that is because this episode was filmed prior to any other installment this season. That’s been a tradition for some time on the show for Jensen’s episodes, since it’s easier for him to prep for them if they’re the first installment of the season behind the scenes.
