Grey’s Anatomy season 16 episode 5 promo: Bailey’s big news
When this twist happened at the end of this past episode, this was the surprise to end all surprises. It’s been a long time since Bailey was last pregnant, it’s not something she was trying for, and it’s definitely not something that she expected. Yet, in the end, here we are … with our jaw somewhere close to the ground over all of this.

So what is the next order of business for Miranda after all of this? That answer is quite simple: Giving Ben the news! You want to make sure that the timing is right so that he knows … but doing that is going to be hard given that he’s always got something going on thanks to his job. He’s exhausted almost every single second of the day!
It’s interesting that when it rains, it pours when it comes to pregnancy storylines on this show. We just had one with Teddy at the end of this past season and now, we’re going through one with Amelia and Link. To go along with this now, we have Bailey. We’d love to sit here and say that all of these are going to be happy, pleasant, and end with some wonderful parade of roses … but we’ve seen this show enough to know better. The more likely scenario here is that we’re going to see some hardship and some turmoil along the way. We have to expect that, and also anticipate a few rather-unwelcome surprises. Grey’s Anatomy gives you just enough happiness to make you believe in hope, but then also finds a way to still turn you into a puddle of tears.
