Amanda Bynes turned down Dancing with the Stars appearance
According to a new report from Us Weekly, the former Amanda Show star was asked this season to be a part of the ballroom competition — which is something that would be a fun return for her to the spotlight.

Here’s where things get more interesting — according to a new Entertainment Tonight source, “an offer is made [to her] every single year … This time she entertained the conversation more than other times.” So what made her think about it more this time around? We do wonder if it was the presence of her old friend and former All That co-star Kel Mitchell in the cast. He would’ve allowed for some more stability for her since it was a familiar face. We like to think that they had a lot of fun together for so many years.
In the end, why has Bynes opted to turn down the show? It seems as though she wants to have a different return to the spotlight. We definitely understand that, given that she is a comic actress and she may be looking for something more in that vein. Yet, this could be the perfect venue for her! It would give her a chance to have some fun, showcase her personality, and allow her to get back out in front of viewers.
Remember this — there was a time in which Bynes was being coined the next Lucille Ball in terms of her ability to entertain an audience. It’s been a long time, but we do think getting her on this show could be one of those fantastic win-win sort of situations. We’ll just have to wait and see if it ever happens.
