The Masked Singer: The Butterfly gets electrocuted

The Masked Singer

On tonight’s The Masked Singerwe knew that there were going to be some chances to see some unique performances. Yet, there was also a chance tonight to see something a little bit unexpected. Think along the lines of the Butterfly having an incident related to electrocution. It’s far from what we expected to see on the show tonight, but with these costumes, it’s not too surprising that things would get a little bit crazy.

At the start of the episode, it was clear that something went a tad wrong with the Butterfly. Yet, the answer as to what it was didn’t happen until a little bit later on. During the rehearsal for the show tonight, an accident led to a short-circuiting … which led to a brief moment of her getting shocked. Yet, she’s okay — despite being scared for a moment.

The Butterfly hopefully will be able to stick around for some time to come, largely because she is immensely talented. She’s got an awesome costume, and she has shown herself, time and time again, to be a good performer.

In hearing about the rehearsal time, what we’d say is that it’s a great reminder of just how much work goes into these performances. It’s not easy to be performing on stage in a giant costume — it is one of the reasons why Johnny Weir said earlier this season that being a singer is such a tough job, and how doing this show gave him a newfound sense of respect for everything.
