Chicago PD season 7 episode 5 spoilers: ‘Brother’s Keeper’

Next week, Chicago PD season 7 episode 5 is going to bring the Intelligence Unit to the other side of the crossover. That’s great news! The team is out of the woods. Yet, soon after that we’re going to see them walk back into another metaphorical forest. Such is the way of the world when you have this job. They’ve stopped a virus from wiping out the city and yet, there are some other issues that will take hold in the city.

10/23/2019 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Wednesday) : A murder in a Bulgarian neighborhood results in a challenging investigation when locals won’t talk to police. Ruzek has a clash with a patrol officer. TV-14 LV

Why is Ruzek having some issues with a patrol officer right now? It probably isn’t the best order of business when you think a little bit about his recent history. His job status is teetering and he needs to figure out the proper way to move forward … if there is a good way for him to move forward.

If you are wanting to get a personal story on this episode, it feels like there’s at least a chance for something Burgess-and-Ruzek related. After all, the two left together on tonight’s crossover! That doesn’t mean that they are a full-fledged couple again, but it feels like the story is moving more in that direction again.

Hopefully, you enjoyed the crossover tonight … we have a feeling that you’re not going to see something like that for some time.
