Nancy Drew episode 3 spoilers: ‘The Curse of the Dark Storm’

Nancy Drew episode 3 carried with it the title of “The Curse of the Dark Storm,” and that makes us think of one thing. Does anyone else feel like these episode titles are being fashioned as though they are titles for individual Nancy Drew books? This is a show that is clearly doing its part to nod at the source material, while also still doing its best to establish its own unique DNA.

What we know about episode 2 at the moment is simply this: It’s going to bring you an epic storm, plus some fears for some various evil spirits, that is going to feel very much appropriate for Halloween. This is an episode that seems to be bringing you ghost references, innermost darkness, and a story that could blow a few different things wide open.

RESTLESS SPIRITS – When a nor’easter hits Horseshoe Bay, Ace (Alex Saxon) warns everyone that the storm has been known to blow restless spirits ashore. Meanwhile, Nancy (Kennedy McMann) confronts Nick (Tunji Kasim) about the secrets he’s been keeping. Scott Wolf, Leah Lewis, Maddison Jaizani, Riley Smith and Alvina August also star. John Kretchmer directed the episode written by Jesse Stern and Lisa Bao (#103). Original airdate 10/23/2019. Every episode of NANCY DREW will be available to stream on CWTV.com and The CW App the day after broadcast for free and without a subscription, log-in or authentication required.

The best thing that Nancy Drew can do entering this upcoming episode is simply this: Finding a way to get everyone hooked at all cost. If that happens, you’re going to at at least have a chance to see a long life for this show. One of the things that we’ve seen with The CW shows as of late is that it does often take a full year or so to get a glimpse of just how popular a given show is.  If it can keep its audience steady from one week to the next, then there is a reason of hope for the future.
