‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9 spoilers: Great news for Meredith / Derek fans

If Meredith and Derek are your favorite couple on “Grey’s Anatomy,” there is some rather great news coming your way now: you will be more than pleased by some of what is coming up for the couple a few episodes down the road. For those of you worried about drama, there is still “Beautiful Doom” coming up first, so brace yourself for that.

Writing in a new post on her Twitter account on this subject, executive producer Shonda Rhimes confirmed this very thing, and suggesting that there is in particular some sort of event coming up that will give fans of the couple a rather big reaction. Hopefully, it’s going to be a good one considering that they have each been through quite a bit already so far this season:

“A TEENY bit of GA info: My fave Meredith/Derek moment of the season thus far happens right near the end of episode 907.”

So what could it be? We’re not quite sure, but we imagine that it is going to be something to do with what both of these people are going through at the moment. When it comes to Meredith, she is obviously still trying to deal with the tragic death of her sister Lexie; meanwhile, Derek is going through a major adjustment period of his own after suffering a hand injury that may keep him out of the operating room for the rest of his life.
