Dancing with the Stars season 28 Disney Week spoilers, notable songs

Dancing with the Stars

Tonight on Dancing with the StarsDisney Week is here! This is something that they do every season, and it’s one of the rare cases of cross-platform promotion that nobody hates. A part of it just has to do with the signature Disney magic that many of us love. There’s nostalgia here that spans generations, and a chance to create new memories to a lot of classic songs. It’s pretty easy for just about everyone to want to embrace this … provided that you don’t hate Disney.

So what songs are we going to have a chance to see performed? Check out the following details, courtesy of a new ABC press release:

Vying for America’s vote, each couple will dance to a variety of beloved Disney songs including “We’re All in This Together” from “High School Musical,” “Under the Sea” from “The Little Mermaid,” “A Spoonful of Sugar” from “Mary Poppins,” “Beauty and the Beast” from the live-action “Beauty and the Beast,” and “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” from the live-action “The Lion King,” among others.

For those wondering, there will also be a dance inspired by “Into the Unknown” from the upcoming Frozen 2, which shouldn’t shock anyone given that there are already giant displays for it in just about every major chain store out there.

While ABC isn’t confirming who is dancing to what just yet, we can at least give you the following bit of news on some of the dances:

Lauren Alaina and Gleb Savchenko – Samba

Sailor Brinkley-Cook and Val Chmerkovskiy – Viennese waltz

Ally Brooke and Sasha Farber – Contemporary

Hannah Brown and Alan Bersten – Foxtrot

Kate Flannery and Pasha Pashkov – Jazz

Karamo and Jenna Johnson – Samba

Kel Mitchell and Witney Carson – Jazz

Sean Spicer and Lindsay Arnold – Quickstep

James Van Der Beek and Emma Slater – Paso doble

At the moment, we do feel that Hannah and James are the clear favorites this season, but don’t discount Ali or even Kate as a sentimental favorite, if she can recover from last week’s slightly-weaker outing.
