Wynonna Earp (Waverly & Nicole) vs. NCIS (Gibbs & Sloane) – ‘Shiptober poll

Welcome to ‘Shiptober 2019! Throughout the month of October, CarterMatt will be bringing you our annual tournament featuring some of best ‘ships in all of TV. What is a ‘ship? It is comprised of characters you want to see together romantically. Maybe they’re already together, or maybe they’ve never been together. It doesn’t matter. ‘Shipping is one of the most popular parts of any TV fandom, it’s super fun and this tournament is a celebration of that.

Within this article, we’re presenting the final showdown for round 1! The play-in battle concluded earlier today, and as we’ve confirmed in the image below, Gibbs & Sloane of NCIS has now managed to earn their way into the first round proper. They’ve done a good job fending off a lot of competition, but now, they’re about to face off against some incredible competition — think along the lines of Waverly & Nicole from Wynonna Earp, a pair that has fared well in many CarterMatt polls over the years.

Waverly & Nicole, Wynonna Earp (#2 seed) – Even though the Syfy series isn’t airing any new episodes in 2019, that is not slowing down either the series or the love that a lot of people have for it and Wayhaught both. This remains one of television’s best couples, a loving, caring relationship between people who somehow know how to be normal even while battling demons. They know how to have fun together, how to laugh, but also how to handle vulnerable moments and insecurity. At the moment, it feels like their future is very much bright.

Gibbs & Sloane, NCIS (#7 seed) – There is some irony in today being the day that Slibbs formally earns its way into the tournament, mostly due to the fact that these two characters are going to have a storyline themed all around them tonight. It feels clear that Sloane is harboring some feelings for Mark Harmon’s character, but is the road being paved for the two characters to get together? If it happens, it’s probably going to be a long road. There could be a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but it could take a lot of time in order to get there.
