The Blacklist season 7 spoilers: How Cooper will be ‘wild card’

When we think about the future of The Blacklist season 7 at the moment, it’s clear that there are a lot of moving parts. Reddington, for example, is prisoner of one Katarina Rostova. Meanwhile, we’re also seeing Liz and Dembe fight to find him, and the synopsis for the next episode indicates that we will see Dom back in some capacity.

For the sake of this article, though, let’s talk about the story through the lens of Cooper. Take, for example, this — is he going to be able to keep the information about Reddington being an imposter a secret? The truth here is that it’s a big thing for him to have to take on, and we know that he is someone who does often like to follow the proper chain of command when he gets important info.

Speaking in a new interview with TheWrap, show boss Jon Bokenkamp said the following when it comes to how Cooper’s story will come into play:

I think Cooper is the wild card here. He’s a man of integrity. He knows what the right thing to do is and it’s his responsibility to do it. However, we have a big story about Harold Cooper in the coming weeks that will tell us more than we’ve ever known about him — how he became the man he is today — and that story will influence his decision about what to do with Reddington in a big way.

Who wants to see a big Harold Cooper episode? We do think that the show has an opportunity to deliver spotlights on a number of supporting cast members — that includes Aram, who will have a big role on the show a week from Friday. We do wonder if there will be  proper replacement brought in for Samar in the future, but at the same time, how would they factor into the larger narrative? How would they be up to speed?
